As a public school system, we welcome all students who live within the district's boundaries and meet state age and health requirements. For specific enrollment information, please see the information below, or if you need further assistance, please contact the school directly.

  • A student may be enrolled in Woodson ISD if one of the following applies:

    • The student resides within the Woodson Independent School District attendance zone
      (see the [Woodson School Zone Boundary Map])

    • The student has an approved transfer to Woodson ISD
      (see [Transfer Student Information])​​​​​

    • Students may only be registered by a parent or court-appointed legal guardian.

    • In cases of divorce, only the parent with custodial rights may complete registration.

    • Legal guardianship must be established through a court order.

    • A notarized letter is not valid as proof of guardianship.

  • A student’s registration cannot be completed without all of the following documents:

    1. Parent/Guardian Identification

      • Government-issued photo ID of the registering parent or legal guardian
        (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or Military ID)

      • The address on the ID must match the utility bill or lease provided.

    2. Student Birth Certificate

    3. Proof of Custody (if applicable)

      • Most recent Divorce Decree or court documents establishing custody.

    4. Proof of Residence (for families enrolling within the District School Zone; one of the following is required):

      • Recent utility bill (electric, water, or gas, dated within the last 3 months) in the parent/guardian’s name with a service address matching the ID.

      • Copy of lease listing the parent/guardian as residents, including the address and phone number of the leasing office. The address must match the parent/guardian ID.

    5. Immunization/Vaccination Record and current health insurance information

    6. School Records from Previous School

      • Unofficial transcript reflecting all credits earned

      • Most recent report card

      • Disciplinary reports, if applicable

  • Students wishing to transfer into Woodson ISD must complete and submit the Transfer Application. Once the application is received, it will be reviewed by the district. The designated contact person will follow up using the information provided on the application.

    Important Notice:

    • All UIL Eligibility Rules apply to transfer students.
