Woodson ISD and STAAR
At Woodson ISD, STAAR is one important piece of a bigger picture. Classroom work, teacher observations, and local assessments show day-to-day learning; STAAR provides a consistent, statewide snapshot of how students are mastering the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). We use STAAR results to identify strengths, spot learning gaps, and tailor instruction—whether that means enrichment for advanced learners or targeted support and tutoring. We also use the data to evaluate our curriculum and programs, ensuring we’re investing time and resources where they will help students most.
What families can expect
Inside the Family Portal you’ll see score details, performance levels, and explanations of what your child knows and can do. You’ll also find suggestions for supporting learning at home. We encourage you to bring these results to your conversations with teachers so we can partner on clear goals for the year. If you need assistance accessing the portal or interpreting the report, please contact your campus office—we’re glad to help.
