Opt In Policy

Woodson ISD — The Hub Text Message Opt-In Policy

Program: The Hub Staff Notifications
Sender: Woodson Independent School District (Woodson ISD)
Messaging number: +1 (866) 989-7263

This policy covers optional, recurring SMS/MMS notifications sent to district staff through The Hub. Messages concern submitted requests, assigned work, pending approvals, maintenance requests, and request status changes. Links take recipients to The Hub to sign in and review the relevant information. This program does not send marketing or promotional messages.

Message frequency varies based on the requests and updates relevant to each recipient. Message and data rates may apply. SMS participation is optional; staff can use The Hub and its email notifications without enrolling in text alerts.

How to opt in and verbal consent script | SMS Terms and Conditions | SMS Privacy Policy

To request enrollment, contact the Woodson ISD Technology Department at richard.sullivan@woodsonisd.net or call (940) 204-6521 and ask for Technology. An authorized district staff member obtains verbal consent using the script below before enabling text notifications. Providing a phone number, being employed by the district, or having a Hub account does not by itself enroll anyone in this program.

Required Verbal Consent Script

District representative: “Would you like to receive recurring automated text messages from Woodson ISD's The Hub Staff Notifications program at the mobile number you provide? Messages from 866-989-7263 will concern your district requests, assignments, pending approvals, maintenance requests, and status updates, and may include links to The Hub. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe or HELP for assistance. Text alerts are optional, and you can continue using The Hub and email without them. Our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy are available at woodsonisd.net/311398_2; I can read them to you if needed. Do you agree to receive these text messages?”

Recipient: “Yes, I agree.” (Example affirmative response; the representative must record the recipient's actual response.)

District representative: “Thank you. Please confirm the mobile number you authorize us to text. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP or contacting the Technology Department.”

Consent Records

Before enabling text messages, the district representative must record the recipient's name and mobile number, date and time, how consent was obtained, the affirmative response, the representative's name, and the version of the script used in a district-controlled consent record with access restricted to authorized personnel. If the recipient declines, no enrollment occurs. Record withdrawal of consent and stop further program messages when a recipient opts out. Do not publish individual consent records on this page.
